From summer's bliss to autumn's chill

Today we rugged up in our warm jackets and headed to the car to go to kindy. Light rain in the air and a cool breeze turned the question mark to a full stop after the sentence: "I think maybe Autumn has arrived". It was only last week I rode the bike to kindy in the low afternoon sun and 24 degrees in the air to pick up my girl, wearing only a flowing summer dress and naked feet in my shoes. It was glorious, perfect and it made me warm inside out. I caught myself wishing a few times during those beautiful days: "if only this was the beginning of summer". And as I knew it wasn't it actually made me a little sad. We had dinner on the deck, soaking up the last warm rays of the season and spent all day outside. I wore my summer dress and had that carefree feeling of a midsummer's day. As much as I appreciate how gorgeous all the colours and the light look at this time of the year, I don't think I'd ever get tired of just living in summer.
